​​Lakefront Brewery Exclusive Preservation Tour

​On May 18th we had a special tour of Lakefront Brewery. This exclusive behind the scenes tour with Brewery President, Russ Klisch, explored how he turned the Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company’s coal-fired power plant into the beloved brewery we see today.

Highlights of the tour included the brewing process, Bernie Brewer's Original German Chalet, the Mug of Beer from County Stadium, and historic hanging lights from the Plankinton Hotel.

The Season 2 episode of Joe Pera Talks with You, titled "Joe Pera Shows You How to Do Good Fashion" is a MPA and Save Our Domes favorite, mostly because of the episodes' depiction of Joe's love and passion for our beloved Mitchell Park Domes!

20th Anniversary Kickoff Happy Hour Fundraiser

We kicked off MPA's 20th Anniversary and connected with others who love Milwaukee's fabulous historic character. We launched our 20th Anniversary celebration year! 
This event brought to you by Heritage Consulting Group. Heritage advises owners and developers of older and historic buildings through the development process, specializing in completing applications for state and federal historic tax credits and preparing nominations for the National Register of Historic Places.

Caverns Below Milwaukee

Join us on October 29th at 6pm for an evening with Andy Tyra, author of Caverns Below Milwaukee, for a presentation of his enchanting book about mysterious realms inspired by the places that make Milwaukee unique. 

How do our city's peculiar locations spark your imagination? Bring your own stories about the possibilities hidden in our built environment! You can purchase his book directly from Andy's website, and even read the first few chapters. 

We also want to thank our friends at STUMP for hosting this unique event! We are so grateful to them for lending us their space for the evening.
